Home Care Services – Meet the Team
We believe our home care services team in Havering, Romford, Thurrock, Essex, Hornchurch, Upminster and surrounding areas really are the best. We only recruit carers that have a genuine commitment to treating our clients like family. They love making a difference to people’s quality of life and we always aim to look after our carers too.
When we take on carers they go through a thorough training course. The course ensures that all carers providing our home care services are able to deal with any situation, health issue, mental illness and manual handling.

We want the best for all of our home care service users. When we recruit home carers we make sure that we choose the most considerate, attentive and switched on people. That’s what makes our team special.
As well as the financial, training and support package we offer our carers, we also have an open door reporting culture to help everyone. The key ways in which we do this for our home care services team is by:
- having an open door policy – carers can drop in at any time to discuss any concern
- encouraging telephone communication
- providing an on-call service available until carers’ last home care visits are completed
- having a whistleblowing policy
- regularly chairing team meetings where carers are encouraged to openly participate and share their views and concerns
- promoting teamwork and actively pursuing our ethos as a supportive and empowering organisation
Meet our team
The Lodge Group Care team provide home care across the Havering, Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster areas. Our home care services management team is based in Romford, Essex.
Skill set: Great on computers, very creative, has good ideas and puts them into practice.
What do you like about your role: “I feel it is a very rewarding job and I love helping people. My role has given me many different skills.”
What do you like to do outside of work: “Going to the gym, socialising and having quality family time”
Skill set: IT- Microsoft and planning skills.
What do you like about your role: “My role gives me an insight of how admin works in the home care sector. I have up skilled in many different areas. It gives me job satisfaction.”
What are your interests outside of work: “I enjoy going to the gym and socialising”
What do you like about your role: “Lodge group is a very good company to work for. Not only is there a great team in the office, we have fantastic carers. I get great satisfactions knowing that I’m helping a lot of people to live in their own homes and find the job very rewarding.”
What are your interests outside of work: “I enjoy spending time with my family, and socialising with friends. I enjoy karaoke at my local pub and meeting new people.”
Skill set: independent tasks, problem solving, IT, Admin.
What do you like about your role: “I like helping people. It’s a great achievement that I have got District nurses in place and equipment fixed.”
What are your interests outside of work: “Socialising and meeting new people”
What do you like about your role: “I enjoy working with a great team, they are very supportive”
What are your interests outside of work: “I enjoy going to Bingo and socialising with friends”
Skill set: Trainer, meeting deadlines.
What do you like about your role: “I like the satisfaction when you have helped someone. I love training and feeling like I have up skilled staff around me. I work with a great team.”
What are your interests outside of work: “I enjoy spending time with my kids and family”
